With the CloudFiles app, you can share any type of file as a link and enable many security, analytics, interactivity & actionability settings on it. While some file types are available by default, others are available for free by taking some action. Yet others are only available on paid plans for security purposes -
To summarize, these are the different file types -
- Documents - These include readable files such as PDF, doc, ppt, excel etc.. These include google based formats as well. These are available by default for everyone.
- Media Files - These include images & videos. These may include various extensions such as .mp4, .avi etc... These are available by default for everyone.
- Compressed - These include all compressed formats such as .tar, .zip, .rar etc... These file types are available for all users after account curation. Restricted file types cannot be shared through compressed formats.
- Executables - Any exes, shell scripts or other types of executables are available only for Business Plan users.
- Other Formats - There are other formats that may fall in one or other category above. Since these are not popular formats, these are available after account curation.
