CloudFiles provides insightful analytics for your documents using secure links. These analytics can be viewed on the analytics dashboard of CloudFiles. However, if you are a Marketing professional you will most probably get a lot of views on your documents from various sources.
This data will require more detailed analysis on your end to get fruitful results to understand which channels are working the best. This could be analyzing no. of downloads vs no. of views on your file or other permutations as per your business requirement.
To perform these next level file analytics you will need to download the file analytics
Exporting Analytics
Download the analytics of your files and share with your teams.
Navigate to the content library.
Head over the content library and access the file whose link you wish to analyze. Click on the link and access the link settings.
Click on Go to analytics and on the next page, select export analytics.
This will download the analytics of the secure link shared with your recipients.

Access the CloudFiles Attachments library from the CloudFiles LWC component.
Click on the downward arrow button of the link whose status is to be changed.
Then choose Export Analytics.
This will download the analytics of the secure link shared with your recipients.
The Exported Analytics
The exported file contains the information in the following format in excel.

If the file was replaced after being made into a link, the exported analytics file will show the analytics from the different versions.
Using this raw data, a marketing business can,

- Re-create content strategy based on time viewed.
- Time content promotion based on highest activity time zones
