Learn how to organize digital files online in folder hierarchy using CloudFiles' Content Library
You can easily organize all your uploaded files & folders online, using the CloudFiles' content library (online files storage). CloudFiles allows deep folder hierarchy. This combined with the ability to easily move files across the library makes it easy to organize large number of digital files.
Let us first clear out the difference between CloudFiles Data Rooms and Folders since both of them seem to be of a similar nature.
Folders are simply directories inside the CloudFiles library. A folder can contain both files and folders. You can add files into folders from a variety of sources - your local storage or Cloud based drives like Google Drive, Box Drive, Dropbox or One Drive. Folders can be shared using CloudFiles links and when this is done the files in them also get shared.
DataRooms is a secure storage space for your files meant to share files together with a single CloudFiles link. The Files can be sourced in data rooms only from the CloudFiles content library. You can also Request Files in CloudFiles data rooms Removing the hassle of individually downloading and sorting files received via email attachments.

Also a critical difference between the two is that the files in the folders are a copy of the file from where you have imported it and hence they take up some storage space. Files in the datarooms are mere duplicates of the files in your content library and do not take up additional storage space.
Given below is a quick overview of these features -

With such major distinctions between the CloudFiles data rooms and folders in it's content library, Folders should ideally be used to share files and folders with a single person while the data rooms are to be used to segregate files and folders for sharing with different persons or companies.
