Now that you have CloudFiles installed, you can start using it to import and track your content. In this article we quickly cover 2 things - How to import content and how to track it in HubSpot
To start using CloudFiles, you will need to import some files into the app. These files will show up in the CloudFiles' content library. You can then create and configure links for these files and set various security settings. These links can be shared with clients and accessed through any browser or any device. All engagement on these links is tracked and shown in CloudFiles.
Accessing Content Library
Content Library can be accessed through a variety of ways depending on whether you are a CRM or non-CRM user. The image below summarizes the various ways. More info is available below the image.
From a HubSpot Record - Click on any record such as contact / deal / company etc.. and locate the CloudFiles widget. Click on the Add File button in the widget to open the library.
Independent App for HubSpot Users - Go to any HubSpot record and locate the CloudFiles widget. Click on the CloudFiles button as shown below. This opens the app in a separate window (https://app.cloudfilesapp.co)
For non-HubSpot users - Coming Soon. Currently login can be done only through HubSpot. Independent login for both HubSpot and non-HubSpot users is coming soon.
In case you don't see the CloudFiles widget on your contact / company / deal / ticket records, check out this troubleshooting article.
Uploading Content into the library
You can import content using the Upload modal. Simply click the Upload button in top right of the content library as shown below. You can import files from local storage, cloud storages such as HubSpot, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox etc... You can also track and gate a URL including direct downloads links.
Configuring File Link
Once you file has been uploaded, you can now create and configure links for your files. CloudFiles creates one link by default and opens the security settings of those links. Here you can set security and download settings before sharing the link.
If you would like to create more links for your files, you can visit the file screen in the content library as shown below.
The link to this file shows up as a card in HubSpot.
Accessing the file
Now that your file is uploaded and link is configured, open that link in a browser window. You will be sharing this link with your clients. When you access the link, this is exactly what your clients will see.
Viewing Analytics
To view file analytics, come back to HubSpot (or independent app where you uploaded the file). You can either view analytics from the file actions (in HubSpot) or through the Analytics tab (in independent app). These are shown below
